Programme Report: Feeding Outreach for Children
Venue: St. Theresa Catholic Church, Ikota, Lagos
Date: October 5, 2026
Attendees: Bomarah Foundation [BF] in partnership with WAG
Today, I attended the feeding outreach programme on behalf of Bomarah Foundation, held in collaboration with WAG at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Ikota-Lagos.
The programme focused on providing meals to children facing food insecurity in the Ikota community. The event began with a brief opening prayer and welcome remarks from the church representatives, followed by remarks from WAG outlining the purpose of the outreach and the importance of partnership in community welfare.
On behalf of BF, I engaged with the organizers, volunteers, and beneficiaries to understand the impact and logistics of the outreach. The feeding session ran smoothly, with volunteers distributing meals to the children in an organized and dignified manner. There was also time for interaction and encouragement with the children and their caregivers.
The collaboration between BF and WAG strengthened our shared commitment to child welfare and immediate relief for vulnerable families. The church provided the venue and mobilization support, which was key to reaching the intended beneficiaries.
Key Takeaways:
1. Strong community turnout and appreciation for the initiative.
2. Effective coordination between BF, WAG, and St. Theresa Catholic Church.
3. Clear need for continued support and partnership in the area.
Grateful for the opportunity to represent Bomarah Foundation and contribute to this effort. Looking forward to building on this partnership for future outreaches.
