A Gender focused body may have begun serious preparation of the Nigerian Women towards taking a shot at the Presidency, which they painfully said had remained an exclusive preserve of men since independence.
Consequently, Nigerian women have begun to assemble to map out strategies for taking over power from men, as the 2023 general elections approach.
Among the weapons being considered to be used to make men surrender power to them is an unbroken agreement to deprive their men of sex if the latter fails to surrender power.
Discussing at a round table talk titled, “Heal and Build Confidence” put together by Bomarah Foundation held recently at the Lagos Marriot Hotel, Ikeja, notable women lent voice to the need for women to take over from men who they all agreed have failed in governance.
The conference was organized to enlighten women to know their rights and political advantages in the body politics of the country.
Notable entrepreneurs and industry leaders in the country, in the likes of Chief Mrs. Folashade Tinubu Ojo, Iyaloja General, Chairperson; Chief Mrs. Alaba Lawson, Special Guest of Honour and Speaker; Mrs. Adejoke Layi Babatunde, a female lawyer; Mrs. Kamilesh Jain, a white lady; Princess Omotolani Omole; Mrs. Modupe Oyekunle, a pastor; and President of Business Women in Nigeria, Princess (Dr) Vicky Haastrup spoke at the conference.
Other women of substance present include Pharm.
Khadija Ifelola, Sheidu-Shabi (Mrs), Mrs. Yinka Ogunde, Mrs. Mohammed Olatokunbo.
In her speech, Mrs. Kamlesh Jain, the president of Rotary Club 910, said God has begun the process of women’s greatness and the emergence of a woman president.
She said women are not happy with the style of governance as the government has failed the people.
Speaking about men’s failure in decision-making and governance, Hajia Idayat Bolanle Muse, the convener, said that men are very dull in governance.
She called on women to be strong, independent and more united than before.
“The country is already injured by men, both economically, socially and politically because many men lack political direction.
We are going to follow them to wherever they gather”.
According to her, “We will starve men of sex generally if they refuse to surrender the power of leadership, adding that Nigerian women are ripe to be president of Nigeria, as they are better managers and leaders”.
